Built in 2023, Casa Mar combines comfortable indoor-outdoor living with the privacy of your own casita. Enjoy your morning coffee on the covered patio, cool off in the pool, walk to Playa Pelada for a swim, beachfront dining and sunset, or head to Guiones for surfing, yoga, wellness, restaurants and cafés.

Inside, high ceilings and large sliding glass doors create a bright, airy space overlooking the tropical gardens and pool. The casita includes a queen bedroom, full bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable living area with a pull-out queen-size bed, high-speed Wi-Fi, air conditioning throughout, Smart TV and a private washer/dryer.

Casa Mar accommodates up to 4 guests and can be rented on its own or together with neighboring Casa Cielo for families and groups of up to 8.

Guest Access

Guests have private access to Casa Mar and its patio and garden area. The pool and a portion of the garden pathway are shared only with guests staying at neighboring Casa Cielo.

For larger groups, Casa Mar and Casa Cielo may also be reserved together, accommodating up to 8 guests with exclusive use of the entire gated property and pool.

Location

Casa Mar is tucked into Playa Pelada, one of Nosara's most relaxed beach communities. Walk to the beach for swimming, dining and sunset, or make the short trip to Playa Guiones for world-class surfing, yoga, wellness, restaurants, cafés and shopping.

Nosara is also known for its wildlife and natural surroundings, so howler monkeys, tropical birds and other Costa Rican wildlife are all part of the experience.

A Few Things to Know About Staying in Nosara

Nosara is a beautiful tropical beach community, but part of experiencing the area is understanding that its infrastructure and natural environment can be different from what you may be accustomed to at home.

Roads: Some roads in and around Nosara remain unpaved and can become bumpy or develop potholes, particularly during the rainy season. A 4x4 vehicle is recommended but not always necessary.

Electricity & Internet: Temporary power or internet interruptions can occasionally occur and are outside our control. We provide high-speed Wi-Fi when local service is operating normally.

Water: Casa Mar has a backup water tank. During the dry season, particularly December through April, Nosara may occasionally experience municipal water interruptions or reduced pressure.

Wildlife & Insects: Nosara is surrounded by tropical nature. Although Casa Mar is professionally cleaned and regularly treated for pests, guests may occasionally encounter ants, beetles, spiders or other insects, particularly during the rainy season. Keeping food sealed and screen doors closed helps minimize unwanted visitors.

Security: Nosara is a welcoming community, but petty theft can occur, as it can in many tourist destinations. Casa Mar is on a gated property with exterior motion-detection cameras and includes a safe for valuables. Guests should lock the casita and close the gate whenever leaving the property.

Construction: Nosara is a growing community, and construction may occasionally occur on nearby properties. We cannot guarantee that neighboring construction will not take place during a stay.

Travel Insurance & Interruptions

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect against unexpected circumstances that may affect your trip. Refunds cannot be provided for circumstances outside the property's control, including utility outages, natural disasters, nearby construction or other external events.
